Reason I want new head as I don't know wot condition mine is in and save time

Are the light boards not interchangeable? maybe a earth fault, have you tried bending the metal which contacts the bulb to make a tighter connection??

The contacts are good, I've bent the pin in the socket up to ensure the bulb sits on it and made sure that it's properly seated on the board ...
