Rear brake pads - make?

Post by dvhttn »

Time for new rear pads. Finally got around to checking them asfter an 'advisory' on them at the November MOT ... :0 Plenty of meat left but one is starting to delaminate so new ones are needed. They have lasted 20K miles so not too bad. Anyhow, just going to use Carparts4less and they have ATE ones for £20 down to 'no name' ones for £10. I don't like to skimp on brakes but saying that they are the rears and so do only provide a small percentage of braking power so are the ATE ones reallly worth twich as much? (They also have Textar and Bosche pads for an in-between price).

Ta.

Oh, yes I do have a wind-in tool and yes I have changed pads/disks before etc etc, so this is just a thread on pad types and whether they reallly are worth the extra.
