Have you declared your tow bar with your car insurer?

After reading a recent story in the Daily Mail about a man being refused an insurance pay-out because he had not told his insurers he had had an aftermarket tow bar fitted I rang my insurers and declared mine.

I'm with LV.

They confirmed it was a legal requirement to declare it on the policy and added that detail to my insurance.
Surprisingly, he said that would bring the price of my policy DOWN!

My annual insurance is now 46p cheaper - well every little helps - but it's more the peace of mind!
