Snapped seat adjuster - failed MOT - Please help?

Hi folks,

The front to rear seat adjuster on my 2003 Passat drivers seat has broken - I think a cable has snapped? It has consequently failed the MOT on this.

The seat is in good condition despite 240,000 miles so I was hoping to repair it -does anyone know if this is possible and /or what part I might need to order to fix it?

Any assistance / comments would be very welcome.
