clicking noise from heater matrix

Post by mb231612 »

Hi guys
Passat 5.5 Tdi 130 2001
I know this subject has a few posts but please bare with me...
With my ignition switched on or car running and heater fan on I get a clicking noise coming from the right side of the heater matrix, ive removed the glove box to be sure where it was coming from this has been happening about 3 months. From looking at other posts I believe it is the Air Recirculation Flap Motor my question is why does it stop when I drive at 20mph+ then start again when I go below this speed and at idle, its loud and driving me mad, if it is something I can live without that's fine, can anyone suggest a way to stop it even if it means cutting the power supply to the motor or something else, is there a fuse or relay I can remove?, dash out is not an option, any help would be greatly appreciated.
