Light fault

Hi..
So my Passat was working perfect. I had to remove the towbar and electrics as I need to return the car and pick my new 1 up. I fitted it all so simple to remove.
I now have the lamp fault light on dash board. All lights are working and the car is perfect!! So firstly any ideas??
The weird side effect I see is, the running lights work fine but when the headlights come on the running lights go off. This never happened before, when you turn the headlights off the running lights come back on. All settings are the same and no other faults or messages are shown!!
