My latest addition is a '98 B5 TDI S wagon.
It's tornado red, with the 90bhp AHU lump, has 240k on the clocks, dents, scratches but does the job! It also didn't cost much which makes it so much better to drive!
Here it is when I picked it up;


The car wasn't without it's faults, had short tax and mot, but started, drove and stopped. And I only wanted it as a daily.
Problems included & solutions sought;
Limp mode and smoke - torn boost hose - now replaced
Tapping from head - suspected worn followers
Oil leak - located to crank seal & oil cooler seal
Waker leak - cracked flange on head
No air con - leak in system
Ripped driver seat - purchased full b5.5 sport interior
Lacquer peel on bonnet
Tatty gear gaitor - replaced with ebay leather special
Pass side speakers not working - corroded connector - cleaned & working
Drivers door lock not working - repaired with new components
And most of this was found/fixed within the first week of ownership!
I went against my beliefs and started to clean my daily driver;





I even have fitted replacement front indicators and clear 5.5 side repeaters with silver bulbs.
New B5.5 sport interior;


I'll update with more pics shortly, but the car has also had a full service, EVRY mod with rocker switch on dash and LED's installed to replace heater vent bulbs (pics to follow).
