I've recently bought a b5 wagon 1.8t and wanted the sick low ride so I got hold of some coilovers and lowered it to around 120mm and was well chuffed with it
but apparently this came at a cost as 2 months later my power steering rack failed and I had to get it replaced.....ouch. The garage however told me this was due to it bein so low 
fail!! But my passat had done 170,000 and the rack looked like it was from new, so I thought it was just tired, but I took the advice from the garage and now have to raised it to around 70mm and it looks poo! I was wondering if anyone else has come across this issue before and can shed some light on it for me
