Heater not very hot.

Post by keithytdi »

As the cold has now arrived I am using the heater in my car all the time. The thing is it never really feels to be blowing very hot at all. I travel 40 miles to work each day and the circulating air does seem to clear all the glass but 28 degrees doesnt feel as hot as it should, even if I have the heater on full all the way to work I never get that nice toasty feeling and I think it should be blowing hotter. The other day I took my dads Volvo out and after a few miles I had to turn the heat down as it was too hot to bare, This is never the case in my passat.

Now im wondering if I have an air lock in my heating system, but before I mess about trying to fix it I wanted to check that this isnt just how they are. Does your blower get too hot to bare or does it just feel like slightly warm air?

Cheers Guys.
