Glow lamp warning light flashing

Hi all...

The glow lamp warning light flashing on and off after the car stops and shuts the engine off (at the traffic lights etc.) and the requires manual start. Doesn't happen all the time, just very intermittently. Is this an issue with glow plugs or something more serious?
