Service reset not an option in MFD

Post by Wayne1612 »

Hi all,

Can anybody suggest any reasons that I am unable to reset my service Indicator message in the MFD and probably more importantly suggest a work around that I CAN manage to get it reset.
After doing a basic service yesterday (oil, oil filter and air filter) I went into the MFD settings - service to reset the counter and reset option isn’t there.

I did what every self respecting amateur mechanic does and consulted my good friend google and YouTube where there were heaps of advice to do exactly as I’d done……settings - service - reset.

Do I have to do some fancy unlocking procedure singing Miles Cyrus whilst hopping on one leg whilst blindfolded?

Car is a 2014 B7 executive style estate 1.6 TDI if this makes any difference

Thanks in advance
