Passat b7 high line estate front fogs won’t work

I have a b7 2.0tdi blemotion highline estate, 2013 on a 63 plate, Uk model.
Weirdly, I can’t seem to get the front fogs or lower bumper lights to work at all. The switch in the dash, onky has a one position pull out for rear fog, which works fine, orange light comes on dash etc.
but I’ve rear abiu things like the front lower bumper ‘fogs’ being cornering lights, being DRLs and or on some fog lights, but mine has no fog switch. Furthermore, I cannot seem to get them to do anything at all, ie come on in cornering, come on as DRLs etc!
They just don’t seem to do anything. It has auto lights, they don’t seem to work on auto, on manual, on sidelights, in daytime, at night, handbrake in, handbrake off!
So, does anyone know how they ‘should work’ on my car, and how I can test them? The manual shows three different light switches, one with front rear fogs, one with rear, and one with none it seems, mine has just a rear option. But I was surprised as being a late model b7 highline, I expected it to have pretty much everything

It has standard halogen headlights btw, not xenons.
