So, a quick couple of question regarding remapping and EGR deletion:
With a remap (such as Blacksmoke) with EGR delete, does this simply prevent the ECU from ever asking the EGR valve to open?
If so, does this affect anything else at all, such as warm-up time?
With such a remap, is it still advisable to fit a blanking plate? (assuming the EGR valve is currently functioning properly and closes fully)
If fitting a blanking plate, is this just done at the EGR valve (intake) end?
Unrelated bonus question: Does anyone know the specified torque setting for the bolts that hold the balance shaft/oil pump on?
(Apologies if these questions have been asked and answered 1000 time before - this forum is a bit like my workshop... everything is in there somewhere, but you can only find it if it's not what you're specifically looking for).
