high clutch pedal

my Passat 1.8t apu engine has a high clutch bite point with a small area of bite I keep reading this could be quite usual but wondered on others experiences.
there is no slip even under hard acceleration or hill starts so im presuming its ok. there is also no judder or bad noise from dual mass

well guess im just seeking reassurance or if I need to prepare for the worst as its a w reg with 140k would the cost of a clutch and fitment be worth it???????

any ideas on a fitting time too
