Help please??

Does anyone on here find themselves in the same situation or been in the same situation?

I own a B5 passat saloon afn and know the car inside out where work done is concerned - have done cambelt and waterpump etc 7k ago and there is literally nothing out there that compares to it on mpg unless u look at 1.4 tdi polo's!!

So have one daughter (2.5yr old) - no pushchair obviously but then one on the way (due in August) so will have pushchair.

Mrs complains car isnt bit enough as i always have a fair bit of stuff/poo i carry round with me too....tools/axel stands/jack/paperwork and loads of recovery gear etc etc

Mrs wants me to get bigger car...

Me - im happy with my b5 saloon and having had those jobs done know the car to be mechanically reliable plus it gets a service every 5k miles!!

I must admit, room is a bit of an issue but i really want to keep the b5 saloon whereas shes on about getting an s max or zafira or something bigger...but then sacrifice fuel economy

Dont really want to get an mpv just yet in my life but having owned several passats now whatever i do get next will be something special (private plate and wrapped) and fully spec'd and not a passat as am bit bored of them now...

Anyone any thoughts?....is there something staring me in the face that im just not thinking of?
