Initially the warning light came on then the parking brake light (yellow P in circle with a line through it ) so I had it diagnosed and a new brake calliper fitted.
The next day parking light came on again so I didn't use the parking brake (and haven't since) but needed to use the car. A few days later, when reversing out of a parking space (no parking brake being used) the car now started a high pitch beeping and now the actual parking brake button was flashing (the pitch of beep lessened but remained constant from then on) as well as other two lights on dashboard .
I then tried the parking brake button and it works when you press it but you have to press it again for it to dis- engage (it doesn't go of as you start to drive!)
I then read on the forum about dis-connecting the battery to reset the computer (holding foot pedal for 30 seconds, then switch for 10) but no change!
Do you have any idea what the problem might be and what to do about it?
