i recently bought a scan tool for my 99 1.8t and for some reason i cant get the thing to work on my car. all other cars it works fine on but when i plug it into mine i get no communication from ecu. now i have looked on the net and found that there is a k wire you need to make sure is disconnected if you have an aftermarket head unit (which i do) so i had the stereo out to see if that was my problem and its disconnected so thats fine.
i also heard somewhere that if your abs aint working that can interupt the comm but my abs is working fine. all fuses checked in the fuse box and everything seems fine, any ideas what else it could be? its driving me mad
