Finally going to take the plunge and get the EGR cooler replaced.

Got a hitachi branded cooler and will transfer over the valve/actuator

Does anyone know what the part number for the V-band is to connect it to the DPF is ? Not having much luck finding it.

Mine is the 190bhp manual ...

Can the EGR cooler part be taken out separately from the DPF?

Had the P2002 code on my car for while now. Been to a VW specialist and they are sure the rear EGR cooler is partially blocked and needs either cleaning or replacing.

They have told me the DPF needs to come out as you can’t remove the cooler by itself. They are quoting a 10 hour job and in the ...

I have a GT estate manual, the mileage is about 140k.

I don’t know if the car has the original clutch but the gear change has always been notchy since I’ve owned it for about a year now.

Most of the time it’s ok but can be difficult to get 5th and 6th.

Is this a sign of clutch wear or ...

Hi all,

I’ve got a GT estate with the USB in the centre armrest (type A).

Is it possible to change it for a USB-C from the newer model which is located in front of the gear-lever ?

Is it plug and play by just moving the wiring forward or will it require a lot more work?

Had a EML appear on the dash last week, got hold of a carista dongle and app and had a scan. It showed 2 engine faults one was the glow plug relay and the others was P200200 which is a DPF issue.

Thing is, the phone is ok when used on its own, and the in built Nav drifts off as well without the phone connected. I was thinking of getting a cheap fakra type GPS receiver and connecting it to the MIB unit to see if this solves the issue.

My Passat doesn’t have wireless connection, the phone gps is fine in any other car. I’m thinking it could be the roof antenna. Can you fit a different type of antenna to the MIB unit and place it in another location ?

I have a 67 plate GT estate to which a heavy tint has been applied aftermarket. If I was to remove it does the car have privacy glass as standard? Don’t want to have non tinted glass.

I have a 67 plate GT estate, every bulb is LED but annoyingly the front fog lights and boot light are not. Is there an easy legal way to change them to LED to suit the rest of the car? .

My clutch pedal bite about 2 inches of the floor, also the gearbox although working fine has a notchy throw. Car has 130,000m but I don’t know if it’s the original clutch.

Is there any adjustment?

I’ve now done over 2000 miles and the able range hasn’t changed, so I’m assuming that it’s been coded out. Probably best just to leave it alone as I don’t know why it was done in the first place

Was wondering what the best OBD reader was for the Passat

Seen Carly,OBDeleven and such like. Some seem to offer coding as well as fault reading, also like the idea of live data such as DPF capacity etc.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Just an update, spoke to Andy at Yorkshire retrofits. He put time aside to help me do the job remotely.

Was very easy and quick. Now have CarPlay in the Passat.

Just now wondering what else can be done the same way.

Hi all had my car about 3 weeks now and when I picked it up the adblue range said 6500 miles. I’ve now done about 800 and the range is the same, it’s mostly motorway miles. Is this normal or has the adblue possibly been coded out ?

Any help would be appreciated
