I had a similar experience when I first got my B6... I'd convinced myself it was driveshaft related.

Turned out it was a tyre!

Maybe worth swapping the wheels around to eliminate the possibility?

Do you have more than one key? If the problem is the same with both, you're looking at the 'receiving' end on the car.

I'm being told that the peak (2.6 bar) IS excessive, and that the torsion value (~+5 to +6 - omitted from graph above) might indicate that the timing is too advanced, causing the turbo to spool up too quickly.

Does that make sense? I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm not ...

Is there a potentiometer built into the EGR valve motor assembly, presumably sensing it's position?

I don't see any pressure sensing being done in that, so it must be looking for changes in manifold pressure or air ...
