Over £400 worth speakers for £70! Dynaudio 6.5's (17cm)

Being 6.5's they fit straight in to Passat B5/B5.5's and dont know about B6's?. With these speakers come my Vibe Tweeters ( ...

Re: Drivers/passenger windows not working from control?
Thanks bud....Checked and ok!
Also checked fuse and that is fine.
Cant understand why the passenger window will go down but wont come back up and why the drivers side control panel is not operating any of the windows/central locking?

Drivers/passenger windows not working from control?
The control on the door card for the passenger rear electric windows and both front windows is not working, neither is the central locking switch on it.
All the other windows work fine from their own switch as in go up and down apart from the drivers side which wont go down nor up..... And the ...

Is this fuel pipe ok?
Some of you may remember I had a diesel leak a few eeks ago. Karl told me where to look and sure enough the metal fuel pipe had a slight split in it. When I moved the metal pipe it broke. I did a temp fix of using some boost pipe I had left over, think it is 5 or 6 mm. It has been fine so far but on ...

Eibach springs
I wanted a set of Eibach for mine with Bilstien shocks......Alas the cost was way above my budget and I was left getting some FK Coilovers
Once back working then Eibach's will be first on my to do list!

Best way to do it......
Measure the exact distance between the top of tyre and the edge of the wheel arch, when its on the ground
Making sure you write the measurement down
Jack the car up, take the wheel off and loosen the bolts on the arms he replaced,
Place the wheel back on , place ...

Thanks greatly
I will tighten up as many bolts as I remember him doing whilst the car is under load today. Think the ones at the back will be a sod to get to though to tighten when the car is under load as the space between the wheel arch and tyre is about 2".

Lol, not the best description of a sound......brrrrrr
Could be something catching, as in a vibration noise??
Especially if the sound is coming through the steering, under load and with your foot down, the characteristics of the car changes, so its no good just changing the top arm's as if its on ...

Could be.......Although it still steers in a straight line with no pull to the left or right?
Tried raising my car as it is silly low......All coils work fine as in raising....But the front left is an absolute nightmare to raise, stiff is an understatement, strange considering they are brand new?

Re: Coilover trouble not cured, what could it be?
I am sure its the right way round mate.....It does not fit the other way round as in the the top part of the spring does not fit over the collar so can only go one way round. Once the spring was off I put it on top of the collar and it fitted nice and snug, it seems to be whenever I put it on the ...

Coilover trouble not cured, what could it be?
As some of you may know I had troubles with my car making a horrid squeaking noise from the rear right. Once the wheel was removed and under further inspection I found this..........

Coilover bottom cap snapped
Was out earlier taking my dog for a walk when I heard a strange noise.
Come back and looked around the car, all seems fine. Went out again and very strange noise again coming from the rear wheel.
Taken both rear wheels off and the lower support for my left coilover has snapped

Excellent replies as always, thanks guys
Thanks for the links and tip Karl....I have just ordered a set (from your link) so will fit the fronts first then the rears say a month later.
Are brake discs fairly easy to fit on a B5.5?

So cheap brakes are poo. I always thought brakes were brakes unless modifying for some very expensive ones.
Would Euro's sell a good brand for discs/pads? Anywhere else online I could try to get some good brakes?
