Re: My conversion to veg oil / chip fat
Just thought I'd update this as I have now removed the kit from the car this weekend even though it was still working fine... the car however is looking a bit ruff now and fancy a change so have a late 2001 Mk4 golf GT TDI 110 which qualifies for the cheaper tax. So 5 years of motoring on waste chip...

Re: B5 estate tailgate options
Sorry to resurrect this thread... so has anyone successfully fitted a B5.5 hatch to a B5? I have the opportunity to get a whole B5.5 for 50 quid with light front damage and my rear hatch is rusting badly so would be good to swap them over :( Alternatively how much of a nightmare would it be to swap ...

Which Window Regulator?
Hi All, Just took my car for an MOT and only failed on track rod end which I was well chuffed with.. however when they put the drivers window down to do the brake test the window dropped to the bottom of the door. They propped it up with a bit of wood and I guess it would have happened to me sooner ...

Have I killed my rear calipers..
After 3 years of advisories on low rear pads I thought it was time to change them. I went full steam a head with no research or reading pulled the calipers off and got the G-Clamp out to push the pistons in to no avail... I then moved swiftly onto the big hammer and drift approach and whacked the pi...

Major Water Leak But Can't Find Source!
Hi all, Got home from playing footy tonight to find water pouring from under the car, a small stream in less than a minute... I looked down the road to see a trail so must have started at least a few hundred yards from home. Any way I climbed under and it's really difficult to see where the hell it'...

Re: obd2 cable
I tried the manual approach a while back to no avail, I'm sure a few people on here said it didn't work for them so assumed that I was doing it correctly and that my car was one of the ones that refused to accept the manual reset.
Adjusting the timings on the .bat file sounds like a plan.

As it's running on chip fat it probably has several things such as heaters wired in and possibly pumps how are all of these things connected and are they likely to be causing an issue. Karl. Re: New Key Blade not working
Interesting.. I assume the PO removed it ! Would it be possible to remove the transponder from my non switch blade working key and stick it to the column or summut so my keys don't require a transponder in them ! Just a thought. Otherwise I guess I need to buy a virgin transponder from ebay or such ...
