B5 estate tailgate options

Hi guys looking to replace the tailgate on my 98 passat estate . Got some rust poking through under the window and now im looking into replacing it as a small amount of water is getting in . My questions is will a tailgate from a 2000-2005 passat fit ok or a non starter ? Seems more of them without the tin worm .
