I've recently fitted the AP 40/30mm Shock & Spring set up but wish it was lower on the back - I have a ridiculous amount of rake at the moment.

How low have you gone? Likely that you need to shorten the bump stops or as yiu say.. buy shorter after market bump stops

It uses an a4 as a base but you will get the idea. I've been wanting to do this for ages, but looks and mechanical problems come first in terms of financial outlay and time.

How would you recommend cutting them? Find a nut that fits, wind it on, cut with hacksaw/angle grinder and removing the nut?
