CC purchase advice

So I’m in the market for a CC or a Passat. I have around £10K budget and would prefer low mileage 1 owner etc. Facelift, R line trim, dsg, bi xenon, leather etc.

However when it comes to engine choice I’m a bit stumped, I want the most power I can get, but I’m also biased toward a petrol due to my short journeys through the week.

Which engine should I be looking at, the 2.0tsi?? Or tdi and just keep on top of making sure it has a decent run every other week?
