Possible injector problems...

Post by EddyVW »

So guys ive recently got a b6 passat and already knew it could possibly be injectors that are *no swearing*.. but what do you lot think?
Its a 2.0 tdi BKP engine. its already had recalled injectors.

Apparently my mate purchase some dodgy cheap fuel from some polish lads and ran it in the passat. After he did this, the car ran lumpy and real bad. He then serviced it with a new fuel filter and other things. this made the car run ok again.. but still to this day with these:

Symptoms: Maximum 40mpg on motorway @ 70 mph. can barley get 30 when around town.
Alot lower on power than it used to be
Takes ages to get through gears, can hear turbo but can hardly feel boost.
On the rare occasion when cold, it starts abit lumpy, with the car very slightly shaking. after 10 secs its fine.
Sometimes takes a few seconds to start.

I havent noticed any smoke out the back. maybe once or twice in the dark with some lights behind me.. but cant tell if its just black smoke as it is remapped.

Apart from the above.. the engine seems to run/sound sweet :/

heres my VCDS readout of all engine fault codes. i wiped as it was full or codes.. and went back to it after 2 days to find:

Ive gone back to it yesterday and now its added cylinder 1 with the same 'regulation range exceeded'.

any input would be helpful.. with possible solutions to work out what actually could be the issue. am i able to clean the injectors to fix them?

Cheers Ed
