With all this lovely hot weather recently, I noticed an ever so slight ripple across the width of the roof panel in line with the B post.
It is not normally noticable but it is only present when the weather is hot and you stand behind the car looking forward - the reflections are ever so slightly distorted. When the weather cools down it seems to return to normal. even after the car is driven the airflow cools the bodyshell down. It is only noticable after the car has been parked in the hot sun ! No it is not a mirage either !!
Perhaps the roof panel is distorting with heat ?
I guess this would not be noticable in lighter colours but would owners of black or Shadow blue cars do have a look at their estates next time we have a spell of hot weather. I/we would be interested in your observations !
The distortion is ever so slight.
