dash trim creak

Hi, I have a 2009 Passat Highline and I've just noticed a creaking sound coming from the long piece of trim above the glove box and it's quite annoying. It does stop if I press it in the middle though. Does it just pop off like the trim around the sat nav with a flat trim tool. I ask because I don't want to try prying it off and break it, if comes off in a different way.
Btw, I only joined this group about a week ago. It's been the best thing I've done in a long time...
