Drag on rear brakes since changing pads

Hi all
I changed the rear pads on my B7 estate. I wound the caliper motors back using the direct 12v connection to the motor method, all went well. I greased up everything I could as normal however since putting everything back together I had drag on the rear wheels. The alloys warm up on a drive where as the front stays cool not to mention the brake dust on the alloys.
I have taken everything apart and checked and all seems fine. Is there a step in VCDS to re calibrate the electronic handbrake after fitment?
Any suggestions would be greatly welcome, I am loosing 20% fuel economy which is a killer.
