Driver seat set-up

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum. I've had a B5.5 for 10 years, now traded for a 1 year old B7 2l DSG SE saloon. Lovely car, but as with every car I have owned I find the drivers seat uncomfortable for the first few months until I eventually get used to it and find the best position. It's fine for 30 min. journeys at the moment, but anything longer I'm finding the seat hard and a pain in the small of my back.

I've seen whinging about Passat seats being hard but not much on the forum so you must all be comfortable right? So what do you find the best way to set the seat up?

At the moment I'm finding by jacking up the seat base it is flatter (more horizontal) and this is better than having it lower when it seems more angled back. This is the opposite to what I found in my old B5.

So any suggestions? Am I just the wrong shape?
