Just wondering how close anyone can get to what VW says their car can do.
When I ordered my B7 1.6tdi they said it could do 54mpg urban, 74mpg extra urban and 65mpg combined.
Now I have the car I have driven it slower than an old man and got 55mpg. with my normal driving I get 48mpg. Nowhere near the claimed 65mpg.
I never go above 80mph and generally sit 60-70mph. all other speed limits I stick to maximum
My last car a Vectra, had a manufactures claimed 49mpg combine and doing the same trips it returned 50mpg. So its not me thats too blame for the poor returns compaired to VW figures. its CO2 was 154, I think this passat must be doing the same CO2 if the consumption is the same.
Most of my compamy moved to VW and Audi are we are all seeing the same, nobody can get the claimed MPG.
So this post is to ask can you get the mpg they say?
Can you get the claimed MPG
