MOT FAIL on emissions

Thought our local garage was 'friendly' to old diesel VW . . .
Turns out he is a stickler for the sticker
2003 130 Sport plated for emissions at 0.6 . . . it blew 4.0
It has been sitting about un-used for a long time . . . BUT 4.0 ! WoW
So thinking deface that plate . . . and get it re-tested somewhere else where they will us the default of 3.0 . . .
