diagnosing non starter 1.9 130

Post by cbkernow »

Tried to start yesterday, blergh flat battery :-(
Bump started it on the hill I park on without issue, didn't have time for more than 5 minutes driving. Parked up. Turned ignition back on, started straight away.

This morning same flat battery, bump started.
Decent 45 minute drive which may in itself have fixed it, I'll find out later I guess!

During the drive voltmeter on battery shows 15 volts, seems high to me....
After drive with engine off, battery showing 12.4 volt with no load

No alternator or EML lights at any point

First job I think I should definitely get myself a jump start pack. Anyone recommend small lithium based devices or stick with traditional old big jump packs?
