So now my new struts topmounts bump stops and gaitors have arrived but I appear to have a problem.
It would seem the bump stops and gaitor should clip together and then the bump stop should be inserted into the top mount.
So the bump stop and gaitor clip together but...
My problem is the bumpstop isn't a tight fit its simply too small. Not even close to being the right size to hold there in the topmount. So the bump stop and gaitor simply fall down and sit on the body of the shock absorber.
Is this ok? I was under the impression the gaitor is to protect the rod not protect the body of the shock?
