basically the metal rod came off the plastic bit, i saw some dipsticks on ebay. are they good or am i better of sourcing one from stealers?oil dipstick snapped

went to check oil level and dipstick snapped basically the metal rod came off the plastic bit, i saw some dipsticks on ebay. are they good or am i better of sourcing one from stealers?
