engine tray dropped

hi, hope you all been enjoying the snow over the past few days....
today ive noticed after yesterdays driving that my engine tray has dropped stupid amounts and almost touching the floor. im guessing it full of snow some how due to it feeling heavy when trying to lift it. my car is lowered so it is lower then normal. is there anything i can do to sort it out. my mate said it will sort it self out as it melts but it scapes on everything, roads with little bumps, speed bumps and all. im hoping you will just say it will be ok in a few days but lifes never that easy!
