Door lock issue.

Heya people. I hope you can help me.

My passat has always had this issue where the rear passenger side door would not unlock with central locking but if you press again it does sometimes. And sometimes it takes a few tries to unlock. and sometimes it just unlocks. There is no pattern to it. But I happens most times I unlock it.
And when it comes to locking, I press the lock button and it lock and then unlocks straight away. Still only on the rear passenger door. Then I press it again (or a few more tries) and it locks.

I have changed the mechanism on this door once before but I guess I could of got another faulty one or its from a different model so wouldn't work?

Looks like the same fault on the front passenger door. But that door is fine apart from every so often the interior light doesn't come on when you open it. But most of the time they all work. Including the rear passenger side one.

I found this while researching but I'm not sure. Where is the control unit?
