I need to replace the cylinder head cover gaskets as the inner one is leaking oil into the spark plug/ignition coil well on cylinder 2. According to ElsaWin, the gasket contact surfaces should be sealed with VW D454300A2 sealant but http://www.taligentx.com/passat/mainten ... vergasket/ only mentions using sealant in the area surrounding the camshaft chain tensioner before applying the new gasket. I would be grateful for advice on this matter and if an alternate sealant is suitable such as Elring Dirko gasket sealant (https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw= ... _noapp=tru).
