B2 bumper chrome trim

For many years have been trying to source chrome strip in order to repair bumper.Finally I think I have located the correct profile however this is for Golf Mk2 USA. which i guess in new form will be incorrect length?Unable to locate Passat B2 strip as fitted to so few European models.Although a regular sight on South American & Chinese Santana(Part number required) My original plan was just to renew damaged length from wheelarch to washer jet.However naturally will look odd with new shiny piece inserted.My search ultimately would be for whole bumper with insert either as replacement or in order to remove a length of old strip to match up.
Any ideas
