LOWERING a mk2, how?

Post by Big Al Vzi »

I'm new to the passat thing and trying to work out howto SAFELY lower a mk2. This is a vehicle that will transport my family so i won't entertain chopped springs and the like.

ive been sifting through this forum trying to get a parts list together but am missing some details/info and was hoping some of you out there might be able to fill in the gaps.

(WHERE DO I ORDER THESE KITS?)
H&R -40mm £120
Spax -35mm £97
Ventura -35mm £94

corrado vr6 springs on rear, standard shocks - approx 40mm drop

60mm drop
82-88 audi80 parts? (WHICH PARTS)
ordered from europerformance -google them.
its a cobra 60/50 kit. (DOES THIS INCLUDE ALL PARTS NEEDED FRONT AND BACK?)

135mm drop (WHATS THE RIDE LIKE? WITH 4 PEOPLE?)
shortened seat ibiza (WHAT YEAR?) rear shocks with vr6 corrado rear springs
on the front shortened audi 80 shocks (FROM WHERE) with mk2 golf -100mm springs (FROM WHERE) (10mm mk2 golf top cups to bring the front down a touch more)
Use standard passat rear springs on the seat shocks it should only bring it down about 95mm
(DOESN'T THE SPRING DETERMINE THE HIGHT, NOT THE SHOCKS?)

fanx all, Al :)
