battery trouble

my b7 estates battery just died. its a new battery, still under warranty 70ah, stop start. i got it going with a jump but dont know why it happened as its been ok. Can anyone suggest if i should buy one of those battery boosters and what sort. Or is it worth just carrying a spare battery around with me
