Discover NAV / WLAN problem?

Hi, just used my phone as a wireless hotspot to setup the WLAN on my Passat. Intention is to get better traffic updates on the Discover NAV. All seemed to pair ok. I then went into the NAV to be greeted with a message saying "navigation database not available". Cleared the WLAN settings and the message stayed, reseated the SD card and the message stayed, so went away with my tail between my legs basically.

Tried NAV ten minutes later and working ok again.

Just wondering if me playing around with the WLAN settings could have caused it or just coincidence.

Any thoughts?
