Well the time has come for me to leave the VW world behind after 30 odd years. Sold the Passat to a mate, and bought a Volvo 240 GLE with the proceeds. Plan to simply lower it and change the wheels (although as I am a tinkerer by nature that will probably change) It's a great drive, and it's all original, not been messed with.
Wanted to go back to basic mechanicals.
I've enjoyed being part of this forum, and even though I've sold the Passat, I'm still going to be maintaining it for the new owner haha.
Out with the new and in with the old
