decat good or bad idea

thinking of doing a decat on b5.5 130bhp. I already have a remap and s/s catback exhaust fitted there is a nice rasp and booooo But im kind getting board with it and want a decat. Just wondering did anyone have any good or bad experience with it does it kill turbos because of the faster spooling and all that? any mpg gains? Replies or input would be appreciated thanks.
