I was working last night and whilst waiting as I do, I noticed a smell of unburnt fuel in the car. Also noticed a higher than usual fuel consumption.
I waited until the opportunity arose and looked in the engine with a torch (this was 10pm last night) and could see fuel dripping from the fuel filter housing. I had the car serviced only Friday and fuel filter was changed but I am almost 100% sure I could smell it afore this.
Could the lid of the fuel filter container been incorrectly replaced? Or is there something else I should be looking for?
TIA
