whats high milage???

At what point do you all think newish cars, like ours, become high milage? And at what point would you say walk away.

Reason I ask is my passat is a 52 with 83k which I'd reagrd as low. Some have 100k more+ for the same year

Im looking to maybe change just for the sake of it. Where is the point where apart from servicing and belts etc do they become more of a liability. I appreciate this can be a bit of a mine field and some people have bad luck, just looking for a few opinions.
