Inconsiderate *****!!!

Parked up today while out for some lunch, and came back to a lovely little scuff down the passenger rear door and rear wheel arch! 
They aren't hugely visible, but have definitely taken the top coat off the paintwork.
I'm planning on claying the area to try and 'flatten' it out a little, but how do I go about re-sealing it as such?
Will a few liberal coats of wax be sufficient, or do I need to go the extra mile somehow?
To say I'm pee'd would be an understatement!
