Wheel detailing...chrome lip...steaming...???

Post by Rogeball »

I have struggled to really get my wheels as clean as I would like since I got them! I have been tempted to replace them with 5 spokes for ease!

I'm not going up yet tho!

I was looking for advice and tips on how I can minimise my effort and maximise my cleanliness!

I have tried Autoglym shampoo, and a few wheel specific cleaners and brushes but no real joy!

I saw on Wheeler Dealers that Ed steam cleaned some Merc wheels, which got me thinking...

I've only been using a normal hose, and it doesn't cut it. Saw halfords sell a steam cleaner and was debating investing in that..

Has anyone got any advice or best practices??

I currently use shampoo and a wheel brush, and a microfiber mitt, and hose off. The tyre spray I have is useless too tbh! I did Autoglym my chrome lip and have used ACF to seal them too.
