Advice needed

Ok I de-badged the rear same as I have on most of my cars. I got all the glue off and cleaned up. I then T-cut the paintwork back to get rid of the faded bits and then coated with plenty of polish.

Problem is I have noticed the passat keeps re-appearing as a ghosting through the paint does this mean I have to cut the paint right back and if so what is best to use and how much.

Any advice appreciated as I have used the above method on my other cars and not had this problem.
