Re the trip mileage resetting. Try pressing the button between the up and down ones. On my newer B8 there are three selections, since start, since refuel, and another I have forgotten.

To work on the electric operated rear brakes you will need to wind them back. A google search should tell you how to do this.

It would seem that there is no SD slot in the SEL version - anyone know of the other versions? My local dealer who supplied my car is discussing with VW. Will report back what they tell me.

I have just got my 2019 SEL saloon Passat. Brochure states that all models are fitted with wireless charging and SD card reader as standard. Mine has neither. Could others please check and report back here. Thanks in anticipation.

Don't think you will get the owners manual into the drop down box. It will not even take my phone!. The socket or lead allows the connection of phone - I have mine connected via USB connector.

2012 140hp diesel Passat Sport saloon I get 55 - 60 mpg driving at steady 70 on motorway/dual carriageway. Car has now covered 143,000 since I purchased new and has averaged 53 mpg for all journeys - calculated from litres used and odometer mileage. Engine has not been re-mapped by VW or any other.

It seems that the existing full range of facelifted Passats are now in the price brochure as of 5 Sep.

First thing I would suggest you do is, with radio selected, press and hold the setup button for 10 seconds or so until the display changes. My replacement also did not have a serial number. Using VCDS I entered the details I could and incremented the existing serial number by 1 which seemed to work.
