Re: B6 Extras List From Showroom

Thanks guys :-bd Unless you've already found what prices you needed, have found an earlier listing dated effective from 28th May, 2007. Tuning, Skyline tails next? Go on, you know you want to  Hey Richard, I was after pricings just as a rough idea what cost it was to the first owner when n...

So was the MFSW an option? That's not on the list but I would have thought it was?

Re: B6 Extras List From Showroom

Have a look at this when you get a chance... http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/passat-2005/?section=data Find your car & year, then take it from there. That's a good link! Looks like the only extra it didn't have was an electric sunroof! It's got - Leather - £1500 Sat Nav - £147...

I'll check out that list now, thanks!

Richard - It's a Sport Saloon

Do you think the prices would have changed much 2006 to 2008?

Thanks,

Nick.

Re: B6 Extras List From Showroom

I went for a 2.0T FSI. 69k miles. FSH and 1 owner from new. I rang the garage where the car had been serviced and the mechanic couldn't believe the guy had sold it. Said it was a great car and "well done". After hearing that I was naturally very pleased lol! It's got black leather, Sat Nav...

B6 Extras List From Showroom

I know there's a code list available for checking what options your car came with, but... Has anybody got a list of the extras and the cost from new, as if you were speccing it in the showroom? I've got a deposit down on a B6 which has quite a few extras, just wondering how much it cost the first ow...

Remap 2.0T FSI

Hi,

How much is it to remap a 2.0 TFSI on an 06 plate?

What will peak bhp be after the remap?

Lastly, where are you based?

Thanks,

Nick.

Re: Buying a B6

Me Gazwould?

I found some info regarding the VIN numbers and oil pumps. Apparently numbers after WVWZZZ 3CZ 6E082 001 and WVWZZZ 3CZ 6P070 001 have the superior oil pump fitted, not the chain version.

Re: Buying a B6

" it comes with all the extras" apparently :hyst All of the 'standard' extras! I should email him and ask what extras it comes with! I've found a couple of Vin numbers that if the VIN of the car is after, the oil pump should be ok so I'll have to cross reference those with the car! I real...

Re: Buying a B6

I think a TFSI is the way to go for me. Less problems than the diesels and a little poke too. I think that's probably a compelling argument as long as you don't do the miles. People often get blinded by diesel economy even though they only do a relatively low mileage. The TFSI you've seen on Autotr...

Re: Buying a B6

@itchy - Ask seller whether he'll allow a VCDS Autoscan? That way you can be sure if you're nearly sure of buying that there's no faults on; or if there's something listed it's only historic. I'm in SE London, dunno where that tFSI is but if en-route either Worthing, Southampton, or Newmarket, or n...

Re: Buying a B6

Not really my cup of tea to be honest. I'd prefer a more standard looking car. Too low also, but the main point that puts me off is the mileage. Far too high. I want something's by sub 100k.

I think a TFSI is the way to go for me. Less problems than the diesels and a little poke too.

Re: Buying a B6

Yeah, no matter what research you do you'll always read problems with cars. I think the decoke and oil consumption isn't as large a problem as the oil pump or DPF problems of the TDI. Can I ask, can you get a 140CR without a DPF? If so, that's what I'm going to try and get! If not there's a nice nav...

Re: Buying a B6

I'm beginning to think it may be worth looking at the 2.0T FSI as they're 200bhp and bulletproof! No where near the MPG of a diesel but I suspect a lot less problems.

Re: Buying a B6

Ok, where do I get these modded parts from and is it something that most garages can do?

Also, I suppose there's a way to know if it's chain driven or not?

Re: Buying a B6

Yeah, I'm realising that now! Plus, the PD140 has the injector issues. However, if I did get a PD140 I could just change the oil pump out right?

It sounds like it's a toss up between DPF Vs. Injectors & Oil pump!

Re: Buying a B6

OK looks like I'll be after a PD then. I know you can get a 140 PD but can you get a 170 PD or are all of the 170s CRs?

Re: Buying a B6

Cheers!

So you can actually get a 140 or 170 CR engine that doesn't have a DPF? Is that possible?

!

:hyst Not a chance haha!

I just like to go into things with my eyes open! Preparation is the key to success as they say!

So, I'm going to look for a 170bhp CR with no DPF! If that's hard I'll have to settle for a 140bhp CR with no DPF!

Wish me luck!
